What Is the Business + Technology Leaders Exchange?

It's not another social media platform.

You're a business leader or technology provider who needs useful, actionable relevant information from trustworthy humans. We have enough social media platforms and AI tools. Let's be different.

How is The Exchange Different Than Social Media?

You've got questions. We've got answers.

How is this different than social media?

  • One of the biggest frustrations with all social media platforms is reaching your desired audience. You don't decide who sees what you've spent a lot of thought and time creating. Instead, the algorithms decide for you.

  • People scroll through their feed. That's what algorithms encourage because these platforms want you to stay right where you are -- scrolling endlessly. That means your content has a short discovery window. Unless people are actively looking for you -- and how many really do that -- your valuable content is gone.

  • The Exchange is different because every post and piece of content you share is visible to everyone. No fancy algorithm wizards behind the curtain.

  • Social media platforms don't like for you to share external links to your blog or website because they want to keep you captive. We think original content, wherever it goes, is valuable. We encourage you to share all the great stuff you've created. No penalties.

How do you discourage toxic or spammy posts?

Divisiveness and toxicity don't belong here. There's more than enough of that on social media so let's take a break.

We expect everyone to treat community members with respect. There will always be differences of opinion because we're humans. That's what makes sharing and collaboration work.

But there's a positive, productive way and a disruptive, harmful way to work through our differences. We're business professionals so we know how to behave.

Members who can't seem to work within the boundaries of honesty, respect, and meaningful collaboration don't belong here. They will be asked to leave.

Why is sharing knowledge a big deal when we have Google and AI tools already?

You're right -- there is no shortage of information available with a few keystrokes. But information isn't the same thing as useful, actionable knowledge.

Think about the last time you did a Google search. How long did it take you sort through all the search results?

AI tools are great. We use them, but we know they have limitations too. The best answers come from well-constructed, carefully explained prompts. These tools don't know what you're not saying. They do their best based on your question.

So who do you trust more -- tools or humans with proven experience and knowledge for guidance? We believe humans bring a lot to the table, but they're not always easy to find.

The Business + Technology Leaders Exchange is intended to bring the best human expertise and knowledge to one collective community. Together, the right problems are solved, the best strategies are executed, and great trust grows.
